Teaching

I have a passion for teaching young and old, beginner to advanced and budding professional! I am an RCM Certified Teacher with a specialty in intermediate, advanced, pre-college, and post-secondary students. I am also an Examiner for the Royal Conservatory of Music. I help train young musicians to develop the skills that they need to learn and perform advanced repertoire.

My approach focuses on ease of the body and mind in playing piano. I emphasize ergonomic and efficient technique. I help students work on their mindset for practice and performance. I align my teaching to the individual goals and interests of the student. As a pianist, I continue to perform both as a soloist and a collaborative pianist on a regular basis. My special area of interest is Music Performance Anxiety and finding ways to mitigate this in students.

I offer lessons in person and via Zoom.

In addition to regular lessons, I am available for individual coaching, as a masterclass clinician, and as an adjudicator.

Fees for lessons are $90/hour.
